Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi - Sweetwaters (Ol Pejeta Conservancy)

Your journey kicks off with a hotel pick-up and a swift flight from Mombasa to Nairobi. Upon landing, your driver/guide will welcome you and steer you towards the mesmerizing Sweetwaters (Ol Pejeta Conservancy). This private sanctuary spanning 90,000 hectares boasts stunning views of Mount Kenya, and it's home to a variety of wildlife, including rhinos, giraffes, chimpanzees, and more. After check-in and lunch at Sweetwaters Tented Camp, an evening game drive awaits, allowing you to witness the magic of this remarkable conservancy.

Day 2: Samburu

Wake up at 6:00 AM for a delicious breakfast, followed by a visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary for an hour.

Depart for Samburu National Reserve, covering a distance of 170 kilometers. Upon arrival at the gate, embark on a game drive en route to Samburu Intrepids Camp.

Check-in at Samburu Intrepids Camp around 1:30 PM and savor lunch.

Relax until 4:00 PM and then head out for an evening game drive until 6:30 PM.

Samburu National Reserve is an arid desert spanning 392 square kilometers, with striking features like date palms, Acacia forests, Ewaso Nyiro River, and mountainous terrain at an altitude of 3,747 meters above sea level.

Wildlife in the area includes elephants, lions, buffalos, reticulated giraffes, Grevy's zebras, Beisa Oryx, Somali ostriches, cheetahs, leopards, and more.

Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Samburu Intrepids Camp.

Day 3: Samburu

Begin your day at 5:30 AM with a cup of coffee or tea, followed by a morning game drive. Return to camp or lodge for a full breakfast at approximately 8:30 AM.

Proceed for another game drive until lunchtime, followed by relaxation until 4:00 PM.

Embark on an evening game drive until 6:30 PM.

Enjoy dinner and spend the night at Samburu Intrepids Camp.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park

 

Wake up at 6:00 AM for a hearty breakfast and depart for Lake Nakuru National Park with a packed lunch, covering a distance of 360 kilometers.

Along the way, make a stop at Thomson Falls and Subukia Great Rift Valley Viewpoint. Lunch can be enjoyed at Thomson Falls or Lake Nakuru.

Upon arrival at Lake Nakuru National Park, embark on a game drive along the lake's shores. Lake Nakuru is famous for its alkaline waters and the millions of flamingos and pelicans that call it home.

The park spans 202 square kilometers, with 40 square kilometers covered by the soda ash lake. You'll encounter Euphorbia trees, fever acacia forests, and a grassland savannah landscape.

Wildlife sightings may include white rhinos, lions, Rothschild giraffes, leopards, buffalos, gazelles, and more.

Begin an evening game drive at 4:00 PM until 6:30 PM.

Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Lion Hill Lodge.

Day 5: Maasai Mara

Wake up at around 6:00 AM for breakfast and depart for the world-renowned Masai Mara, a 320-kilometer drive.

Arrive at your camp or lodge, Mara Serena Lodge, at around 1:00 PM, and make a short game drive en route to check-in at 1:30 PM.

Masai Mara National Reserve, covering 1,584 square kilometers, is one of Kenya's most famous and visited national reserves. It offers breathtaking landscapes, including the Mara River, Talek River, Loita Hills, Serengeti plains, and the annual wildebeest migration from July to September.

The reserve features woodland and grassland savannah with acacia forests and is known for its abundant wildlife, including lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, gazelles, rhinos, hyenas, and numerous bird species.

Embark on a game drive from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Mara Serena Lodge.

Day 6: Maasai Mara

Begin your day with a 5:30 AM cup of coffee, followed by an early morning game drive.

Return to camp for a full breakfast.

Proceed for another game drive, visiting Mara River to observe hippos, crocodiles, and the wildebeest migration.

Alternatively, opt for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch.

Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Mara Serena Lodge.

Day 7: Maasai Mara - Diani

Wake up at around 5:30 AM for coffee or tea and an early morning game drive.

Return to camp for breakfast, followed by another game drive.

Afterward, you will drive to Nairobi for lunch at Carnivore Restaurant before catching a flight to Diani, arriving at around 4:00 PM.
